This exercise will improve the ability for you to extend and rotate through your thoracic spine, taking load off of the lower back muscles and spine. This is an exercise for advanced users. Make sure to warm up your back by mobilizing it in flexion first. Also make sure to take your time and feel your spine release before you roll further down.
